    Learn how to align your BCMS to the requirements of ISO 22301:2019. Gain an understanding of the key practices of a Business Continuity Management System for organizations of all sizes and the essential elements of ISO 22301:2019 and 22313:2020.  Included in this session, is a sneak peak into how to conduct a self-assessment of your organization’s alignment with ISO 22301: 2019.

    Presenter: Lynnda M. Nelson is a Founder and the President of The International Consortium for Organizational Resilience (ICOR).  Established in 2005, ICOR provides education to individuals on how to build more resilient organizations and communities.  As an international nonprofit 501c3 organization, ICOR’s Organizational Resilience Model, Organizational Resilience Capability Assessment, and Framework and Community Resilience Framework have helped to define resilience for both organizations and communities.

    Lynnda manages the day to day operations of ICOR’s education and credentialing programs.  As a member of the US delegation to the ISO TC 292 Series of Standards, Lynnda is an expert on international standards for business continuity management systems, crisis management and communications, organizational and community resilience.

    She also contributed to the development of ISO 22216 – Organizational Resilience Principles and Attributes and is currently an author with ISO 22336 – Organizational Resilience Policy and Strategy.  In addition, she is a member of TC 268 and TC 292 and contributes to standards related to community / urban / rural resilience.

    With over 20 years of experience, Dawn Grzena has a proven track record of driving success across the Operational Resilience sectors (Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Enterprise Risk, Disaster Recovery, and 3P Resilience/Vendor Management).

    She is recognized for her ability to elevate initiatives while fostering meaningful collaboration with stakeholders. Certified by leading institutions such as the BCI Institute and Disaster Recovery Institute, Dawn’s expertise spans financial, technology and real estate sectors.

    Her specialties include strategic planning, Organizational Resilience program implementation, development and maturation, organization metrics and tabletop exercises. Dawn’s real-world experience in managing critical events has equipped her with a deep understanding of operational resilience and personal emergency preparedness. She is an international speaker and has spoken at numerous industry conferences, sharing her passion for both operational and personal resilience. Recently in collaboration with Dr. Bernard Jones, she published The Joy of Metrics: Harness the Power of Measurement & Visualization to Enhance Your Organizational Resilience Program.

    Margaret Millett has been a successful global business continuity planner, responder, manager, and executive for more than 30 years. She has built programs from scratch to surpass client and audit requirements for Fortune 300 companies. Margaret is well-respected in our industry. And yet, at the end of last year and with no warning, she was told by her employer that her and her team’s services were no longer needed. Suddenly, unemployment became her full-time job. Unfortunately, Margaret’s experience is far from unique. Sudden job loss can occur when you are terminated or laid off, when you resign because you feel you have no choice, or when you are burned out and choose to leave. Regardless of the reason, the sudden loss of a job can be nothing short of traumatic. It is a personal and professional crisis that must be managed. Margaret will discuss the events, examine her journey, provide perspectives, and share lessons learned. Participants can also share their experiences with others.

    Margaret J. Millett, MsBC, FBCI (Hon), MBCP has been actively involved in the business continuity field for many years. She is the recipient of the 2023 BCI Lifetime Achievement Award. She has worked for IT and Financial Services Fortune 300 companies in Ireland and the United States. Margaret has held board levels positions with business continuity organizations, written publications and spoken at conferences in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
